WHAT IS COMMUNITY GIVING?

Community giving is how individuals, workplaces, and businesses come together to support the work happening across Montgomery County. Whether it’s a company running a workplace campaign, a family giving each year, or a business making a one-time gift, these contributions help move our community forward in real and meaningful ways.

WORKPLACE CAMPAIGNS

Workplace campaigns give employees the opportunity to support United Way through their place of work. These campaigns can look different at every organization and often include payroll deduction, special events, or team challenges.

Running a workplace campaign is a powerful way for companies to engage employees, build team connection, and invest in the community where they live and work. United Way provides tools, resources, and support to help make campaigns simple, meaningful, and successful.

INDIVIDUAL DONORS

Individual donors play a vital role in strengthening our community. Some give monthly, some give annually, and others choose to give when a cause or moment speaks to them—but every gift helps create opportunity for local families.

Individual giving is flexible and personal. Donors can support United Way’s work as a whole or direct their giving toward specific areas or programs that matter most to them.

CORPORATE DONATIONS

Corporate donations allow local businesses to invest directly in the well-being of our community. These gifts may include one-time contributions, sponsorships, or long-term partnerships aligned with a company’s values and goals.

Many companies also support giving by matching their employees’ donations, sometimes dollar for dollar, helping those gifts go even further. By giving through United Way, businesses help support programs and initiatives that create a stronger workforce, healthier families, and a more resilient community.
